The Crown Chronicles 014

Why artists should build on all webs and our revamped Discord server.

Hey there, Happy Wednesday!

In the ever-evolving digital landscape, artists must master Web1, Web2, and Web3. These three pillars each play a crucial role in shaping our creative careers. Web3, with its blockchain and NFTs, offers new monetization opportunities. Web2, home to platforms like Instagram and TikTok, provides unmatched reach. And Web1, with its timeless email lists, ensures direct and reliable connections with our audience.

But here's the catch: It's not about choosing one over the other. It's about finding a balance that leverages the strengths of each. Mastering all three webs grants independence, financial stability, and unrivaled reach.

To better understand why artists should embrace all 3 webs, read the full article on Mirror here.

What’s New

For the past week I’ve been working on getting our Discord server up and running, it is now. Although there are still some extra things to set up, you can now enjoy full public access, levels for the most engaged members, and channels for feedback, music talk, and self-promotion. There’s even a channel for server suggestions if you’d like to make any improvements.

The Discord is where I envision the community communications layer, where artists and fans can all gather around music and share their own, share samples, and of course, a place for me to share new music with you all. I’m really excited about this move and I look forward to seeing you there. Thanks for being here.

Here's a production tip that can improve your workflow and help you capture those moments of genius. If you're like me, a significant part of your sound design and uniqueness comes from post-processing—those carefully crafted effect chains that take a sound from good to extraordinary.

Ableton Live offers a powerful tool for this: effect racks. These racks allow you to save your favorite processing and effect chains, complete with all the settings and tweaks that make your sound stand out.

So, the next time you create a cool chain of effects for a synth or master track, don't let it vanish into the void. Save it as an effect rack. Not only will this speed up your workflow, but it also ensures you save those moments of genius for future use.

And here's the bonus: You can share these effect racks with fellow producers and friends, fostering collaboration and creative exchange.
