Welcome to the first-ever issue of 'The Crown Chronicles'!
This is your official weekly digest of everything Charlie Crown, from music production and my journey as an independent artist to the intersection of the music industry, web3, and the creator economy. I'm excited to have you here and to be sharing this journey with you!
In each issue, you'll receive the latest updates on my music, collaborations, and projects, as well as engaging discussions on intriguing topics and questions. I'll also share a valuable music production tip or trick, fascinating reads and videos I've discovered throughout the week, and highlight my favorite music NFT drop.
This being the first issue, I'm eager to hear what you think. Feedback is not only welcome but highly appreciated. After all, this newsletter is for you, and I want it to be as useful and enjoyable as possible!

What’s New?
I've been hard at work on the 'Hurts' Remixes, which are coming soon, and I'm excited to let you in on a little secret—I'm gearing up to release one of my favorite songs ever! I can't share much but stay tuned for more details.
On my web3 journey, I wanted to let you know that a snapshot of my collectors was taken a few weeks ago, and there might be a surprise coming your way this week. I apologize for the delay but rest assured, I'm working super hard on a series of things that I'll be announcing soon.
I'm also excited to share that this newsletter is simultaneously posted to Mirror, where you can now collect The Crown Chronicles Access Pass. While I'm still building a multi-format/disciplinary project, this access pass will undoubtedly have utility in the future. Creative Corner
For this week's production tip, let's talk about creating the Haas effect in Ableton Live using just one instance of the stock delay plugin, saving CPU resources. To achieve this, follow these simple steps:

Add the Ableton Live stock delay to the desired channel.

Unlink the left and right channels.

Choose 'Time' as the delay mode for both channels.

Set the feedback to 0% and mix to 100%.

Turn off the filter and enable the ping-pong mode.

Set the left channel delay to 1ms and the right channel delay to 8ms.
And there you have it! You've successfully simulated the Haas effect with a single instance of the delay plugin, keeping things efficient and easy to manage. Happy producing!
